MLHS Flag Football Cheer
Michigan Lutheran Flag Football Cheer is a faith-based program for youth from area parochial schools, focused on building school spirit, teamwork, and Christian character. Cheerleaders learn chants, basic stunts, and fun routines while encouraging players and fans throughout the season. It’s a great opportunity to grow in confidence, faith, and friendship — all while having fun on the sidelines!
Registration deadline for the 2025 season: MONDAY, JULY 28, 2025
Ages
Cheer is for ages 6 - 12 as of August 1.
When
Cheer Camp will run from August 4 - August 8, with an additional practice day on August 9.
The games run from September 6 through October 18.
Where
Camp and any additional practices will be held in the MLHS Annex.
Practices
The only practices that the cheer teams have are during camp (listed above) and potentially one other practice time (TBD) to learn their dance.
Games
Games for Flag Football are held at Grace Lutheran Church & School on the turf field. Teams will rotate scheduled cheer times.
Uniforms
A team shirt and bow will be provided. For the bottom of the uniform, black pants, shorts, or skirts can be worn with comfortable tennis shoes.
Extra Costs
Sweatshirts and long-sleeved shirts can be purchased from the Flag Football spirit shop when available.
Cheer 2025
Join us for an exciting and faith-filled cheer season this fall at Michigan Lutheran! Open to students from area parochial schools, our program encourages teamwork, school spirit, and Christian character as we support our flag football teams.
The season starts with Cheer Camp from August 4–9, where cheerleaders will learn foundational cheers, basic stunts, and fun dance routines in a supportive and Christ-centered environment. From September 6 to October 18, the team will cheer at games, build confidence, and grow in friendship and faith.
Our cheer season focuses on:
Faith in Action: Living out Christian values on and off the field.
Teamwork & Growth: Building each other up as one team under Christ.
Spirit & Fun: Leading with energy through cheers, chants, and dances!
Whether new to cheer or returning with experience, this is a great opportunity to grow in faith, fitness, and fellowship. We can’t wait to cheer with you!
